SFYN EUROPE MEETING 2021

  • Verein Slow Food Youth Schweiz 85 Bederstrasse Zürich, ZH, 8002 Switzerland (map)

During Terra Madre 2018, our thoughts were very clear. These physical meetings are fantastic and provide so much inspiration and collaboration. “We’re going to organize them on a regular basis,” we said.

Not much after we were working on a variety of meetings in Africa, Latin-America and Europe. We were gathering people all over the globe, in between our bi-annual Terra Madre gathering in Turin. The unexpected happened though, the Covid-19 pandemic hit our world and made it impossible to meet in person, let alone with other people within the same continent.

However, after almost two years meeting each other via digital platforms, SFYN Europe has finally got the opportunity to meet in person again. From December 10th to 12th, we will gather in the beautiful University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy. Here, we’ll have the opportunity to meet with our national peers, work on new (continental) campaigns and meet with our friends for the first time since over two years. Next to that, we’ll take the advantage of being in the university to educate ourselves about food in a varied program and find out more about the SF network activity plan in Europe for 2022. It will be an opportunity to learn new tools and engage in your community.

During the opening night we will celebrate together Terra Madre Day and meet other activists and locals within the university. The days after will be defined by an on campus program packed with conferences, workshops and classes. Don’t worry: we will also have a lot of fun moments!

All EU SFYN activists are invited to visit our next European SFYN meeting in Pollenzo, Italy. Make sure you register now and before November 15th, via this link. By November 19th, your participation will be confirmed (based on a fair spread of EU representation). The meeting will be held in English. Please note that we have a limited travel budget available and the European Green Pass is compulsory.

For any program suggestions or questions, please reach out via social media or hello@slowfoodyouthnetwork.org

The event is financed by the European Union. Its contents are the sole responsibility of SFYN  and CINEA is not responsible for any use that may be made of the information contained therein.
